There are so many engineering pieces to get a mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) ready to be deployed, often times the ventilation aspects take a back seat. We’ve seen it happen many times that fans are installed with inadequate air movement capabilities or noisy equipment which needs to be silenced before a rig can meet ABS, HSE, or DNV regulations. In our experience, it’s always better to start off with the right equipment than to have to go back and retrofit the right equipment later.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Eldridge pioneered offshore rig ventilation. We’ve designed hundreds of ventilation systems for offshore applications and our work can be seen on the majority of the world’s offshore fleet.

We’ve designed ventilation systems, acoustic dampening systems, and fire containment systems for every machinery space on a MODU.

Additionally, our patented ENJET engine exhaust system was specially designed to meet offshore exhaust needs. The ENJET is one of our most successful innovations and our customers are always extremely happy with the end results.
